Profile of Mark J. Ranieri
Mark Ranieri is a property manager with a strong background in property maintenance and building structure. Mark began his career being exposed to many aspects of the construction business. He worked from 1966 - 1973 as a union laborer working for a concrete contractor and was a finisher apprentice during that time. An opportunity for Mark to work for the 1st National Bank of Chicago as a carpenter introduced Mr. Ranieri to the world of building maintenance. It was not uncommon for him to work through weekends to accomplish maintenance work that could not be performed during working hours.
In 1974 Mark developed an interest for the residential sale of homes. He joined a reputable firm in his hometown named J. W Reedy and worked with them until 1977. He won top listing awards and was a successful real estate agent. With his family growing, Mark decided to get involved in a job that had a more daytime hour structure and joined the commercial department where he sold commercial real estate. During his time with this firm, from 1977-1981, Mark started the property management division of the firm and managed 1800 apartment units in 12 buildings. He became a Certified Property Manager and earned the CPM designation. Mark Ranieri saw an opportunity to begin his own company during his time with J.W. Reedy, and started Maintenance Concepts, Inc. In 1981 Mark continued to manage and maintain about 600 units of property.
From 1981-1993 Mark continued to manage and maintain property, but this business grew into a general contracting firm that self-performed commercial buildouts, hvac, carpentry and electrical. Of course, during this time Mark’s knowledge of the dynamics of the physical structure of property was steadily growing. In 1993 Mark saw a need to label all the different aspects of his business by segmenting them into different companies. At that time Vista Property Management was given its own identity. He also decided to grow his management ventures to include condominium management. Summit Property Services was also given identity as the property maintenance company. By 1996 Vista was managing 17 different condominium and town home properties.
With the exposure to Condominium management Mark came up with an idea to build a 68-unit luxury condominium building during 1996. He was responsible for procuring financing and the purchase of land for the Willow Pointe condominiums located in Villa Park. With the help of his family, taking on many different roles from general contracting to sales the building is completed and 100% occupied. Mr. Ranieri is a professional property manager who believes in maintaining a quality property.
